- Rinse it gently in cool water. Hold it under the tap for a few seconds. Do not scrub. Do not use soap or chemicals.
- Try to place it back in the socket if possible. Push it in gently and bite down on a clean cloth to hold it. This gives the tooth the best survival odds.
- If not, store it in milk or saline solution. Regular water can damage root cells. Milk maintains the right pH and osmotic pressure.
